Monday 17th May, Last day in England.
Today is my last day to get everything in order, before flying out tomorrow. Logistically, things have come together okay. Emotionally, I'm a bit of a mess, swinging between the euphoria of my upcoming adventures, and the grief of saying goodbye to so many great friends that I've made here in Redhill and Bletchingley. 'Grief' seems like too strong a word, but it doesn't feel too strong. I've made some great friends here, and I know it will be quite some time before I see any of them again. Usually, I don't stay in one place as long as I have here, and I wonder if this is why! I almost feel like I'm leaving home.
I'm not sure what the situation will be regarding internet cafes in Morocco, or whether I'll be able to log on with my own laptop. If I can't, then I'll have to post my updates on my backup journal. If you haven't found an update here for a few days, try there.
In the meantime, here's a neck-breakingly fast slide show of my time in England over the last five months. You'll have to view it on small size, or the picture quality is terrible. Buckle your seat belt, it's a fast ride! If you've got the time, and you want to view a higher quality slideshow, click here.
